Article in etc Magazine

Christmas is in site and lots of things are going on- I was interviewed for the November isuue of ETC Magazine- hopefully a copy of the article will go up on my website very soon- technology allowing!

The Enchanted Forest exhibiton  at the Green Tree Gallery has been extended until 11th November,and the exhibition at the Portico Gallery at  25 London Road, Riverhead, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 2BU starts on November the 10th.

I thought I'd post this picture of one of my 3D houses that I exhibited at the Brighton Art Fair- it is all cut from a single piece of paper, and I then put them under beautiful glass domes. My next idea is for a block of flats with loads of things happening around it... I think this will take some planning!

New Exhibitions

Thank you to everyone who came to see me at the Brighton Art Fair, it was really lovely to actually meet and chat to the people who take my papercuts home.

This week I am taking my work to two Galleries-

Firstly one I've exhibited at  before, The Green Tree Gallery  at Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath, RH16 1XP. They are having an exhibiton called 'enchanted forest' and above is one of the peices I will be showing.The exhibiton is running from October 13th to November 4th, the Gallery is closed on Mondays, and the gardens at Borde Hill are fabulous!

The second is a new venue called the Portico Gallery, 23 London Road, Riverhead, TN13 2BU, I will be exhibiting in their Christmas exhibition which starts on November 10th.

Brighton Art Fair

Well this has been a busy summer- which is probably why I haven't got round to updating my blog... and the Brighton Art Fair starts two weeks on Friday....eeek!
 
 I've got loads of new papercuts that I will be showing, this is a preview of one of them  'in progress'.

Yesterday I spent a large part of my day (due to getting lost several times!) driving over to Hampshire to deliver some papercuts to Gallery Fifty Five- which is in a lovely town called Hartley Wintney near to Hook.

I have been working on some double layered box cuts, here is a little glimpse of one of them.

They require a lot of concentration as each layer is cut from the opposite side, so I have to think REALLY hard about where they overlap!
