Brighton Festival Artsists Open Houses

 

It's that time of year again and The Brighton Festival is rolling in to town,  this is The Cloud House and it will be at 31 Sandgate Road during the Festival. There is going to be loads of fantastic artwork  for sale, so come along and have a look round.

West Dean Design and Craft Fair

Yey! I have been selected to exhibit at the brand new West Dean Design and Craft Fair, a collaboration between West Dean College and MADE, it is on 20-22nd June, at West Dean College near Chichester-I will post more details nearer the time.

 I am hoping to bring this new piece- Hide and Seek with me.

Shipping forecaste

I have just finished this papercut, using the lovely names of the sea areas from the shipping forecaste.

I had a great time at the Cowshed Studio Chocolate Extravaganza this weekend, I came away with silver nails and a very lovely handbag by Ginger &  Brown (and having eaten rather a lot of delicious chocolate!)

A little different....

I thought I would try something different this weekend, I unearthed an old book that I picked up at a car boot sale and had fun at the making table!

The next step is a washing line..

Feeling like spring

The daffodils are starting to poke their heads through and the snow drops are out in force it's looks like spring has well and truly arrived.

Now that there is some blue sky  I love to photograph papercuts against it to make silhouettes, this one I'm working one is going to be called the Alphabet Tree.

Shipping forecast

I have just started a new papercut on a shipping forecast theme, I love using such wonderful names.

Rainy days

This is part of a new piece I'm working on, rather aptly it has raindrops and umbrellas...there are also sheep, dragons, knights and a lot of numbers.

2014

I would like to say thank you to everyone who purchased, or just came and looked at my work over the last few months.  I like to think of each piece going to its new home where I hope it will be loved.

Now that the manic Christmas period is over, it is time for me to sit back and think about where to go with my papercutting this year. I'm feeling quite excited!

This piece is called the factory, a mystery substance is being made,  parcelled up and sent out by balloon!
